Dr. Strickland is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology. He graduated from the NIH-funded Medical Scientist Training Program at the Medical University of South Carolina. He performed his Ph.D. research on the enzymatic pathways of folate biochemistry, and he completed residency in Anatomic Pathology, followed by sub-specialty fellowship training in Cytopathology and Gynecologic Pathology, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Prior to joining our team, Dr. Strickland was Associate Professor of Pathology at Duke University, where he has retained an adjunct faculty position.
Dr. Strickland has authored/co-authored over 42 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA Oncology. His research interests include the molecular pathogenesis of disease, with a particular focus on women’s oncology issues, such as ovarian, uterine, and thyroid cancers.
